Data Engineer Lakehouse Migration (Mid-Level)

We are seeking a Data Engineer with experience in modern data platforms, Python development, and Snowflake. This individual will support a strategic initiative focused on migrating and optimizing data solutions within a Lakehouse architecture built on Snowflake. Prior Goldman Sachs experience, particularly within teams utilizing the firm's Lakehouse environment, is highly preferred and will be considered a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the migration of data assets, pipelines, and workflows from Snowflake into a Lakehouse-based architecture.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions.
• Optimize data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes within Snowflake and Lakehouse environments.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and performance across enterprise datasets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to data pipelines and platform performance.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to best practices for data engineering and analytics platforms.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python.
• Solid experience working with Snowflake.
• Experience building, maintaining, or migrating enterprise data pipelines.
• Understanding of modern data architecture concepts, including data lakes, data warehouses, and Lakehouse platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
