Job Description

About the Role

The Strategic Technology Executive is a senior, customer-facing role responsible for communicating Teradata's product vision and platform differentiation to executive stakeholders. This position serves as a global voice from the field into Product while delivering consistent strategic messaging to customers.

What You'll Do
  • Act as Teradata's technical executive liaison to customer C-levels and senior leadership.
  • Lead strategic discussions on cloud modernization, hybrid/cloud architectures, and Vantage roadmap (SQL to AI/ML to GenAI).
  • Deliver executive briefings, workshops, and thought leadership at conferences and customer events.
  • Guide Solution Engineers and Account Teams in strategic technical messaging and positioning.
  • Drive consistency in outbound messaging through reusable assets, decks, white papers, and social content.
  • Represent global field and customer perspectives in product strategy and roadmap planning.
  • Participate in Product Advisory Councils, POC feedback loops, and roadmap workshops.
  • Define and communicate long-range customer-driven needs (2-4 year vision).
  • Partner with Product Marketing to refine messaging based on field experience.
  • Coordinate global initiatives, knowledge sharing, and consolidated product feedback summaries.

Minimum Requirements
  • 15+ years in technical sales leadership, field technology advocacy, or product strategy roles.
  • Expertise in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP), data platforms, hybrid environments, and AI/ML use cases.
  • Executive presence with ability to communicate complex topics clearly to technical and business audiences.
  • Proven ability to influence product strategy through structured feedback.
  • Strong collaboration skills across engineering, marketing, and sales.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership through public speaking or publications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred).
  • Experience in global, matrixed organizations with customer-facing strategic roles.
  • Public cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Expert) preferred.
  • Ability to drive customer digital transformation and business outcomes through data and analytics.
