Class 2 (Category C) Bulk Delivery Driver

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Class 2 (Category C) Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for making bulk deliveries to customers, ensuring goods are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. This role requires a strong commitment to road safety, excellent customer service, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle in accordance with all road traffic legislation and company policies.
• Complete bulk deliveries to commercial and residential customers.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload goods safely.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery accurately.
• Plan and follow delivery routes to meet schedules.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers at all times.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed in line with health and safety procedures.
• Maintain the cleanliness and security of the vehicle.

Essential Requirements

• Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum of 6 months' Class 2 driving experience.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours regulations and tachograph rules.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.

Physical Requirements

This role involves manual handling and requires candidates to:

• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries where required.
• Lift and move goods safely, following manual handling procedures.
• Be physically fit and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
