Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for an Onsite position with a Global Life Sciences Technology Company located in Tewksbury, MA. This is a 12-month contract opportunity.
As a Manufacturing Technician, you will assemble instrument components, sub-components, and electro-mechanical assemblies for world-class chemical analyzers. This role involves soldering, fitting, mounting, alignment, adjusting, and repairing products. You will join a team dedicated to enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

As a Manufacturing Technician, you will assemble instrument components, sub-components, and electro-mechanical assemblies for world-class chemical analyzers. This role involves soldering, fitting, mounting, alignment, adjusting, and repairing products. You will join a team dedicated to enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and conduct basic functional testing on a variety of electrical and mechanical parts and sub-assemblies using work instructions
- Participate as an active member of the production cell, supporting inventory and equipment management
- Participate in daily team stand-up meetings, communicating daily challenges and ideas
- Adhere to and promote regulatory requirements such as Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), work area cleanliness, and equipment calibration
- Contribute to and lead improvement events (such as Kaizen, 5S, Practical Process Improvement)
- Build working relationships with co-workers, including employees in other departments
- Perform transactions in Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) system
- Maintain a safe working environment, following established 5S organizational procedures
- Rework and reassemble units based on verbal or written instructions
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting, or related field
- Ability to work independently and with a team, acting as a self-starter
- Comfortable using computers to input and process information
- Ability to adhere to ISO9000 requirements, including ESD and clean work area environments
- Prolonged periods of sitting required, use of a microscope, and good eye/hand coordination
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unaided
Desired skills:
- Soldering experience
- Detail-oriented
- Familiar with Microsoft suite
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts
