Manufacturing Technician - Onsite

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for an Onsite position with a Global Life Sciences Technology Company located in Tewksbury, MA. This is a 12-month contract opportunity.

As a Manufacturing Technician, you will assemble instrument components, sub-components, and electro-mechanical assemblies for world-class chemical analyzers. This role involves soldering, fitting, mounting, alignment, adjusting, and repairing products. You will join a team dedicated to enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and conduct basic functional testing on a variety of electrical and mechanical parts and sub-assemblies using work instructions
• Participate as an active member of the production cell, supporting inventory and equipment management
• Participate in daily team stand-up meetings, communicating daily challenges and ideas
• Adhere to and promote regulatory requirements such as Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), work area cleanliness, and equipment calibration
• Contribute to and lead improvement events (such as Kaizen, 5S, Practical Process Improvement)
• Build working relationships with co-workers, including employees in other departments
• Perform transactions in Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) system
• Maintain a safe working environment, following established 5S organizational procedures
• Rework and reassemble units based on verbal or written instructions

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting, or related field
• Ability to work independently and with a team, acting as a self-starter
• Comfortable using computers to input and process information
• Ability to adhere to ISO9000 requirements, including ESD and clean work area environments
• Prolonged periods of sitting required, use of a microscope, and good eye/hand coordination
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unaided

Desired skills:

• Soldering experience
• Detail-oriented
• Familiar with Microsoft suite
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts

Pay range: up to $24.00 per hour
