Procurement Leader | Kirkby-in-Furness, United Kingdom | Hybrid | Circa £50,000 We're hiring on behalf of a globally recognised leader in advanced technology solutions, shaping a safer future through pioneering defence, aerospace, and security innovations. The Role • Lead end-to-end procurement activities for a significant national programme, ensuring delivery against cost, quality, and schedule. • Source, negotiate, and place major international contracts, securing substantial commercial outcomes. • Drive supplier performance, proactively mitigating risks and strengthening global partnerships. • Engage with senior stakeholders, including government representatives, with confidence and clarity. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support team development. What You'll Need • Proven capability in sourcing, negotiating, and placing complex contracts with robust risk mitigation. • Experience managing suppliers and major contracts within highly regulated environments. • Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems for effective procurement and contract management. • Strong commercial awareness and sound legal understanding for detailed agreement oversight. • Extensive experience in procurement or contract management to drive programme success. • Ability to undertake occasional UK and international travel.
