Quick overview
Job description
Blend is a premier AI services provider, committed to co-creating meaningful impact for its clients through the power of data science, AI, technology, and people. We help organizations solve complex business challenges by combining deep domain understanding with modern data and AI capabilities. Our teams work across strategy, analytics, engineering, and product delivery to create scalable, high-value solutions that improve decision-making, efficiency, and growth.
Blend is the delivery partner for Charter Communications' household intelligence platform. The program turns aggregated, privacy-protected signals from Charter's broadband, connected-device and video businesses into household-level audiences, insights and measurement for advertisers, agencies and data partners. Blend's team designs and builds the platform with Charter's Intelligence Ventures group and helps take its products to market.
Spectrum Reach, Charter's advertising sales business, is the platform's first and most important commercial channel. Reach sells local, regional and national advertising across linear, addressable and streaming TV, news, sports and digital to thousands of advertisers, most of them local, and through agencies, partners and its own political desk. It already builds custom audiences in its own tools and activates them through its ad-serving and programmatic partners. The question for this role is how the program makes that business better: new audiences Reach cannot build today, sharper targeting, faster planning and stronger proof of results.
About the role
The Spectrum Reach Program Lead is Blend's main point of contact between Spectrum Reach and the new program. You will own the relationship day to day, learn how Reach sells, plans, builds audiences, activates and measures campaigns today, and work out where Latis adds the most value. You will turn that into a coordinated program: prioritized use cases, pilots with measurable results, enablement for Reach sellers and agency partners, and clear requirements back into the platform's product teams.
Today the work with Reach happens case by case. This role exists to give it structure, so Reach gets consistent value from the platform and the platform roadmap reflects what Reach's sellers and clients need. It is a senior, client-facing role. Executive presence, credibility with media sellers and agencies, and the ability to translate data products into commercial value matter more than hands-on technical skill, though you must be fluent enough in data, identity and ad tech to judge what is feasible.
What you'll do
Own the Spectrum Reach relationship for the platform
Act as the single point of contact between Spectrum Reach and the platform's program for Blend, with a regular operating cadence (working sessions, status, escalation).
Build working relationships across Reach's sales, product and platforms, audience and data, ad operations, yield, research and measurement teams, and its in-house agency and partner agencies.
Represent Reach's needs in the platform's program and product planning, and represent the platform in Reach planning and client conversations.
Understand how Reach works today
Map Reach's current workflows end to end: how sellers take a brief, how audiences are built and sized, which data sources and identity matching are used, how audiences are activated across linear addressable, streaming and programmatic, and how campaigns are measured and reported.
Identify where the process is slow, manual or limited by data, and where clients ask for things Reach cannot yet offer.
Keep a current view of Reach's priorities, product launches, sales targets and client mix so Latis work lines up with them.
Understand how Reach sellers are measured and paid, and who buys what. Reach sells to media buyers, while many of the platform's buyers sit in insights, CRM and marketing leadership. Shape the packaging and selling motion so it works for both.
Make the platform deliver value to Reach
Run the Spectrum Reach beta program for the platform: choose use cases and pilot advertisers with Reach, set success criteria up front, and coordinate the work through to results.
Design pilots that prove value rather than assert it: back-tests on past campaigns, match tests, and A/B tests of platform-informed audiences against Reach's current audiences.
Own the end of the beta process as well as the start: every live campaign has a holdout and a measurement plan, results are read out on time, and wrap-ups become case studies.
Turn results into case studies, reusable sales stories and pricing input, with every claim backed by documented evidence.
Work with Reach sales leadership on the commercial mechanics that make the platform easy to sell: packaging, rate card, deal attribution and seller credit.
Track pipeline, adoption and outcomes, and report them to Charter and Blend leadership.
Find and drive improvements that the Platform enables
Lead ideation with Reach on where the Platform makes current work better, then size, prioritize and drive the strongest ideas into the roadmap. Examples already under discussion include:
Making Platform attributes and audiences available inside Reach's existing audience-building tools, next to and combinable with the third-party data sellers already use, so sellers never have to leave their workflow.
Replacing commonly sold third-party audiences with Platform audiences built from Charter's own signals.
Finding programming and audiences similar to a target show or audience based on the households that watch them, to extend tune-in and long-tail targeting beyond manual selection.
In-market, life-stage and category audiences that local and regional advertisers can buy without a custom build.
Campaign lift and audience-profile reporting that shows advertisers who responded and why.
Refreshing and optimizing audiences during a flight, for example removing households that have already converted, and moving Reach from reporting impressions delivered to reporting outcomes.
Seasonal, sports and event audience packs; local intent packs for self-serve advertisers; and planning, targeting and measurement support for political campaigns.
Extending the Program audiences beyond Reach's own inventory to other channels.
Self-serve access for Reach users to Program insights and audience building, starting with a small group of design-partner users.
Enable Reach sellers and agency partners
Build and maintain sales enablement for Platform-powered products: positioning, pitch materials, FAQs, approved claims and proof points.
Train Reach sellers and planners, and support them in pitches and client meetings with advertisers and agencies.
Make sure external language is accurate and goes through Charter's privacy and legal review where required.
Coordinate Blend delivery behind Reach
Translate Reach requirements into scoped, prioritized requests for Blend's product, data science, insights and measurement, engineering, identity and integrations teams.
Direct the analysts and data scientists assigned to Reach work, set priorities and review outputs before they go to Reach.
Balance Reach requests against the wider Platform's roadmap and other partner commitments, and escalate trade-offs early.
Work alongside Blend's enterprise partnership, insights and measurement, and media product leads so that Reach work and partner work reinforce each other.
What success looks like
Timeframe
Outcomes
First 30 days
Relationships in place with Reach's key leaders and working teams. A documented map of how Reach builds, activates and measures audiences today, with pain points. Agreed operating cadence.
First 90 days
Prioritized list of the Platform's use cases for Reach with sizing and owners. Every live beta campaign has a holdout, success criteria and a readout date. Clear owners for every step of the beta process, from pitch to case study. First enablement materials in sellers' hands. Reach requirements reflected in the Platform's roadmap.
6–12 months
Measured pilot results and case studies that Reach uses to sell. Platform-powered products in Reach's regular sales motion. Growing Reach revenue and seller adoption tied to the Platform. Reach sees Blend as the team that makes the Platform useful to its business.
Required
12+ years in advertising, media or ad tech, including senior roles at a media seller, agency, data provider or ad tech platform.
Understanding of how a media sales organization runs: seller incentives, agency and direct channels, local and national sales, inventory and yield.
A track record of taking data products to market and running the deals and partnerships behind them.
Working knowledge of how TV and digital advertising is bought and sold: linear and addressable TV, streaming and CTV, programmatic, and local and national sales.
Fluency in audience data, identity resolution and activation (ad servers, DSPs, SSPs, data onboarding and clean rooms) at the level needed to judge feasibility and trade-offs.
Experience designing or interpreting campaign measurement: lift tests, matched-market and holdout designs, attribution.
Program leadership in large, matrixed organizations: setting priorities, running cadences, managing dependencies, and getting decisions made across groups that do not report to you.
Executive presence with senior client stakeholders, and the ability to explain data science outputs in commercial terms.
Sound judgment on privacy and data governance in advertising.
Preferred
Experience at or with an MVPD or cable ad sales business, or with addressable TV platforms.
Experience with an in-house agency or a holding-company agency.
Consulting or client-services experience, ideally in data and analytics.
Exposure to AI-driven audience products such as modeled, lookalike or embedding-based audiences.
Experience building sales enablement and training programs.
Key working relationships
Spectrum Reach: sales leadership, product and platforms, audience and data, ad operations, research and measurement, and the in-house agency.
Charter Intelligence Ventures: Latis executive sponsors and product leads.
Blend: program and go-to-market leadership, enterprise partnerships, insights and measurement, media product, data science, engineering, identity and integrations teams, and the program management office.
The starting pay range for this role is $190,000 - $250,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications, training, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range and determining factors for compensation are considered for each individual circumstance. You can look forward to a range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO, paid holidays, commuter benefits, spending accounts, life insurance, disability coverage, and EAPs.
