Financial Analyst/Accountant

Position Title: Financial Analyst/Accountant

Contract Duration: 12 months (extendable)

Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite Role)

Employment Type: W2

Important Note: Need a candidate who is expert in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Macros and Filters.

Overview:
This role supports project financial performance through cost tracking, budgeting, scheduling, document control, vendor coordination, and process improvement. You ll be working closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Procurement, and Finance to ensure projects stay on track operationally and financially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Track budgets, forecasts, and actual project costs using Excel and financial systems like Navision.
• Support invoice and purchase order processing, change management, and SLA compliance.
• Maintain project trackers, schedules, and reporting tools.
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely documentation and deliverables.
• Provide document control support and QA/QC tracking.
• Recommend process improvements and support tool implementation (e.g., ServiceNow).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s Degree (Business or Finance preferred)
• 2 3 years of experience in project controls, operations, or finance
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, filters)
