Job Description

Cyber Security Analyst

Location: London (Hybrid - 8 days per month onsite)

Rate: £525 per day (Inside IR35)

Contract: 6 Months

We're looking for an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to join a leading global financial services organisation on a long-term contract.

This is an opportunity to work within a highly respected cyber security function, helping to secure business-critical technology and infrastructure across a complex enterprise environment. You'll work closely with architects, engineers, developers and business stakeholders, providing security expertise across a wide range of projects while ensuring security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.



What you'll be doing

  • Conduct security risk assessments for business and technology projects
  • Define functional security requirements and promote secure by design principles
  • Review solution architectures to ensure compliance with security standards
  • Define penetration testing scope and support security testing activities
  • Produce security standards, technical documentation and governance artefacts
  • Advise on security services and recommend improvements across the organisation
  • Act as a subject matter expert across one or more security domains
  • Work closely with developers, architects, risk teams and senior stakeholders on security initiatives


Skills & Experience

We're interested in candidates with experience across several of the following areas:

  • Security risk assessments and security architecture
  • Identity & Access Management (IAM), Identity Federation and IDaaS
  • PKI and cryptography
  • Application Security and Secure Software Development
  • OWASP and secure coding practices
  • CI/CD security and security automation
  • Cloud Security (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS)
  • Network Security, Firewalls and Endpoint Security
  • Infrastructure Security and Infrastructure as Code
  • Data Protection and Compliance


Technical Experience

Experience with some of the following technologies would be beneficial:

  • Microsoft Azure or other public cloud platforms
  • Identity Management solutions
  • Web Application Firewalls
  • VMware or virtualisation technologies
  • Software Defined Networking
  • Storage technologies (SAN/NAS)
  • Databases and Middleware
  • Collaboration platforms and modern workplace technologies


Desirable Certifications

  • CISSP
  • GIAC
  • SABSA
  • ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer
  • Other recognised security certifications


About You

  • Previous experience in Cyber Security, Information Security or Security Architecture
  • Strong understanding of enterprise security principles and governance
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Able to translate business requirements into practical security solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in English
