Business Analyst - Commercial Banking

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Analyst - Commercial Banking in Birmingham, AL.

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a portfolio of applications serving Commercial Banking business lines. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to enhance applications that support commercial lending, real estate banking, underwriting, and affordable housing lending initiatives. This is a highly collaborative position for a Business Analyst who thrives in an Agile environment and has a strong understanding of commercial banking operations and credit products.

Responsibilities:
* Partner with business stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into functional requirements
* Serve as the liaison between business teams and software development teams throughout the project lifecycle
* Gather, analyze, document, and refine business and functional requirements
* Facilitate discussions, workshops, and backlog grooming sessions with business and technical teams
* Create and maintain documentation in Confluence and manage work items in Jira
* Support Agile software development initiatives from discovery through implementation
* Build strong relationships with business partners while driving continuous improvement of existing applications
* Collaborate with developers, QA, product owners, and project stakeholders to ensure successful solution delivery
* Leverage Microsoft Copilot and other AI-enabled tools to improve productivity and documentation where appropriate

REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience as a Business Analyst supporting enterprise software applications
* Experience supporting Real Estate Banking and Underwriting
* Experience using Microsoft Copilot or similar AI productivity tools
* Hands-on experience working within Agile Application Development environments
* Strong background in Commercial Banking, including commercial lending and credit products
* Proficiency with Atlassian Jira and Confluence
* Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
* Proven ability to build strong relationships across business and technology organizations

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience gathering and documenting business requirements (BRDs)
* AWS application integration experience
* Experience supporting enterprise SaaS applications
* Familiarity with ServiceNow Change Management
* Exposure to AI-enabled business analysis tools and workflows

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
