Job Description
S&H Products is seeking a Vocational Services Manager to lead skills development in our precision metal stamping, fabrication, and assembly operations. This role designs and manages hands-on training programs, coordinates onboarding and job coaching, and partners with production leaders to close skills gaps and support continuous improvement. The manager maintains training and compliance records, reinforces safety standards, and mentors employees as they progress into more advanced roles. Ideal candidates bring manufacturing and vocational training experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for developing people in a family-oriented, high-quality environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee vocational training programs for employees in precision metal stamping, fabrication, and assembly
- Develop and update skills curricula aligned to production needs and quality standards
- Coordinate onboarding, job coaching, and cross-training across manufacturing areas
- Partner with supervisors to assess skills gaps and create individual development plans
- Monitor performance, safety practices, and productivity of program participants
- Maintain training records, certifications, and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to integrate new processes into training
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in vocational development and skills building
- Support recruitment, assessment, and placement of candidates in appropriate roles
- Communicate progress, outcomes, and training metrics to leadership
