Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and support large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Python, SQL, Kafka, Spark, AWS, and cloud data engineering with experience building scalable, event-driven data solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Application Engineering
• Strong programming experience in Java, Python, and SQL
• Experience building batch and real-time data pipelines
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, EMR, or similar distributed data technologies
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (AWS preferred)
• Experience with cloud data warehouse platforms
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, AWS Step Functions, or similar
• Experience with CI/CD and Agile development environments
• Knowledge of data observability, monitoring, alerting, SLA tracking, and data quality
• Experience with Secrets Management (AWS Secrets Manager, Vault, etc.)
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

• Banking or Financial Services experience
• Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments
• Experience with event-driven architectures and streaming data platforms
• Experience with enterprise-scale cloud data platforms

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines
• Build scalable event-driven data solutions using Kafka and distributed processing technologies
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for enterprise data platforms
• Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver end-to-end data engineering solutions
• Implement workflow orchestration and pipeline automation
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across data platforms
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies
