About the team - IT Delivery & Enablement

The IT Delivery & Enablement team serves as a trusted technology partner to GBG's business functions, enabling the predictable and controlled delivery of strategic technology investments. The team combines strong governance, delivery expertise, and innovation leadership to ensure technology initiatives are aligned to business priorities, realise measurable value, and drive continuous improvement.

The Role - Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager leads the delivery of complex technology change initiatives within the IT Delivery & Enablement team, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required standards, maintaining alignment to strategic objectives. The role provides strong governance, stakeholder management, and delivery leadership, applying structured methodologies to manage risk, dependencies, and project outcomes. Working across business and technology teams, the Senior Project Manager drives delivery excellence and the successful realisation of business value.

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology transformation and business change projects - aligned to our Salesforce and Ironclad workstreams, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and aligned to strategic objectives.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, delivery roadmaps, milestones, and critical dependency schedules.
• Apply appropriate delivery methodologies, including waterfall, agile, and hybrid approaches, to maximise delivery effectiveness and business value.
• Establish and maintain robust project governance, ensuring adherence to delivery standards, controls, and reporting requirements.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, resources, milestones, and benefits, taking proactive action to address deviations from plan.
• Own and maintain project RAIDD logs, ensuring risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, decisions, and actions are effectively managed and communicated.
• Prepare high-quality project status reports, dashboards, and executive updates for senior stakeholders and governance forums.
• Facilitate Steering Committee (SteerCo) and governance meetings, providing clear insights, recommendations, and decision support.
• Manage project finances, including budget planning, forecasting, cost control, financial reporting, and benefits tracking.
• Lead relationships with third-party suppliers and delivery partners, ensuring contractual commitments, deliverables, and service expectations are achieved.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, managing interdependencies across business, technology, operational, and vendor stakeholders.
• Drive effective stakeholder engagement and communication, building alignment, managing expectations, and enabling informed decision-making.
• Ensure business readiness activities are planned and delivered, including change management, communications, training, operational readiness, and implementation planning.
• Support the successful transition of solutions into business-as-usual operations, ensuring appropriate handover, adoption, and value realisation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery practices, governance frameworks, and ways of working, fostering a culture of delivery excellence and innovation.

Skills we're looking for

• Salesforce knowledge and understanding of the core value chain processes
• Ironclad experience would be beneficial
• Systematic and process orientated with a proven track record of managing projects through to completion to plan
• Proven experience of working with ambiguity and change, with the ability to adapt and exercise structured problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and influencing skills, organisation and time management skills
• Taking strategy into execution: Proven ability to translate requirements into measurable business outcomes
• Value driven: Laser focus on value creation underpinned by delivery rigour
• Collaborator and influencer: Track record of engaging stakeholders and delivery partners at all levels, with the influencing skills to ensure the success of GBG technology initiatives
• Pace: Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-tech, rapidly growing and exciting environment
• Tech and data savviness: Ability to navigate technical and data issues as well as communicate appropriately with both technical and business experts
