Senior Network Deployment Engineer Data Center Infrastructure
Location : Santa clara,CA
Duration: 12 months+
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Deployment Engineer to build, deploy, validate, and support large-scale data center network infrastructure. This role focuses on hands-on deployment of modern Ethernet-based data center fabrics, routing and switching infrastructure, and production network environments.
The ideal candidate has strong experience deploying BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, and spine-leaf data center networks in enterprise, cloud, ISP, or hyperscale environments. Experience with AI networking technologies such as RoCEv2 or InfiniBand is a plus, but not required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy, configure, and validate large-scale Ethernet-based data center networks.
  • Build and support spine-leaf fabrics using EVPN/VXLAN.
  • Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and IS-IS.
  • Perform network implementations, migrations, hardware refreshes, and production cutovers.
  • Execute deployment plans, MOPs, and change activities for production environments.
  • Validate network health, connectivity, redundancy, and performance after deployment.
  • Troubleshoot Layer 2, Layer 3, routing, switching, optics, and connectivity issues.
  • Work closely with architecture, systems, cloud, and operations teams during deployments.
  • Automate deployment and validation tasks using Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Produce deployment documentation, implementation guides, and operational runbooks.
Required Qualifications
  • 7 15+ years of experience in:
    • Network Deployment
    • Network Engineering
    • Data Center Networking
    • Infrastructure Operations
Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Ethernet Networking
  • Routing & Switching
  • BGP
  • OSPF
  • IS-IS
  • EVPN/VXLAN
  • Spine-Leaf Data Center Architectures
Experience deploying and supporting:
  • Cisco
  • Arista
  • Juniper
  • Multi-vendor network environments
Experience with:
  • Data center build-outs
  • Network migrations
  • Production deployments
  • Hardware installation
  • Rack & stack
  • Network validation
  • Production troubleshooting
  • Change management
Working knowledge of Linux.
Experience with Python, Ansible, or other automation tools is preferred.
