GCP BigQuery Architect

Location: London (Hybrid) - 2x days per week onsite

Duration: 6 - 12 months rolling

Budget: £400 - £450 (D.O.E)

IR35: Inside IR35

We are looking for an experienced GCP BigQuery Architect to join a large-scale enterprise data transformation programme.

Mandatory Experience

• 10+ years' IT experience, including 5+ years in GCP data engineering/architecture
• Strong Google BigQuery architecture, administration and optimisation experience
• Strong experience designing enterprise-scale data warehouse and analytics platforms
• Proven experience migrating Legacy/on-premise data platforms to GCP
• Hands-on experience with Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions and Cloud Run
• Strong SQL, data modelling, dimensional modelling and ETL/ELT experience
• Experience with Terraform, CI/CD, Git and DevOps practices
• Strong knowledge of IAM, security, networking and cloud governance
• Experience integrating Looker, Tableau or Power BI with BigQuery
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills

Desirable/Bonus

• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification
• Experience with Dataplex, Data Catalog or Vertex AI
• Experience working on large enterprise transformation programmes
