Senior Data Analyst

TEKsystems is looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst for an initial 8-month contract.

This opportunity sits at the heart of a major Finance and Actuarial data transformation program aimed at modernising and consolidating multiple legacy data environments into a future-state data platform. You will work closely with Finance, Actuarial and Technology stakeholders to analyse source systems, document data lineage, define business requirements and support the delivery of high-quality data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyse current-state and future-state data environments
• Perform data mapping, gap analysis and data lineage activities
• Support Finance and Actuarial transformation initiatives
• Work with stakeholders to gather and document requirements
• Define data quality rules and controls
• Support onboarding of new data sources
• Assist with logical data modelling activities
• Investigate and resolve data anomalies
Collaborate with Technology teams on solution delivery
• Provide insights and recommendations for data improvements
• Support business-critical Finance and Actuarial processes
• Work across Finance, Claims, Data Governance and Technology functions
• Participate in cloud and data modernisation initiatives
• Contribute to successful project delivery outcomes

Skills & Experience

• 8+ years' experience as a Data Analyst or similar
• Strong Life Insurance industry experience
• Exposure to Policy and Claims data domains
• Advanced SQL skills
• Experience with data migration and transformation projects
• Strong understanding of ETL concepts and data flows
• Experience documenting data lineage and business rules
• Exposure to data modelling and data governance
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience working with Finance and/or Actuarial stakeholders
• Knowledge of Azure and ETL tools such as Pentaho, SSIS or similar highly regarded
