Embedded Software Engineer (Melbourne)

Developing software for commercialembedded systems

Integrating software with hardware and testing prototypes

Protocol and communicationssystem development

Analysing user requirements and converting them into functional code

Conducting technology feasibility studies

Defining test protocols and carry out test procedures

Participating in multi-disciplinary design team development processes

Engage with clients on a regular basis

The following skills and experience are required for this role:

Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold a working visa

Hold a relevant degree from a reputable University (e.g. Bachelor of Software, Mechatronic or Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Computer Science)

Have worked as a professional software engineer for 3 or more years

Deep knowledge of C/C++ for embedded devices

Be competent in the design of embedded software systems employing microcontrollers and/or custom embedded linux platforms

Can read and work with circuit schematics and datasheets

Can use test equipment such as an oscilloscope and logic analyser to debug embedded systems

Have excellent English communication skills (both oral and written)

Can work independently and as part of a team

Experience with developing BSPs for embedded linux platforms

Experience in Product design or consulting environments
