Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer MPCS Validation to support validation activities for the Modular Power Conversion System (MPCS) platform throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle.
The engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing system-level validation to ensure functionality, safety, performance, cybersecurity, controls, communications, and customer requirements are fully verified prior to product release.
This role requires close collaboration with Software, Controls, Electrical, Telematics, Cybersecurity, Product Quality, Product Support, and Program Management teams to ensure validation readiness, resolve technical issues, and support product gateway milestones.
Required Education
-
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Required Technical Skills
-
Strong Electrical Engineering / Electrical Systems background.

Hands-on experience with Vector tools, including:
-
CANape
-
CANalyzer
-
-
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
-
Experience with system validation, integration testing, and troubleshooting.
-
Understanding of embedded controls, communication networks, software/firmware validation, and power systems.
-
Experience supporting Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) or system-level validation environments is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
-
Develop and maintain MPCS system validation plans aligned with program and product gateway milestones.
-
Define validation scope, test strategies, test procedures, and acceptance criteria for new features and system releases.
-
Plan and execute validation activities supporting both NPI and sustaining engineering projects.
-
Coordinate laboratory, HIL, endurance, integration, and field validation testing.
-
Validate software releases, firmware updates, network communications, HMI functionality, controls, and system behavior.
-
Develop and validate features related to control algorithms, communications, HMI functionality, and power system operation.
-
Support software integration, system-level troubleshooting, and root-cause investigations.
-
Track validation progress and ensure test activities are completed according to project schedules.

Identify validation risks, technical issues, defects, and dependencies and communicate them to program leadership.

Coordinate validation activities across Software, Controls, Electrical, Telematics, Cybersecurity, Quality, and Product Support teams.

Drive issue resolution and support corrective actions discovered during system testing.

Support cybersecurity-related validation requirements for MPCS products.

Ensure product functionality, safety, performance, and customer requirements are validated prior to release.

Support product gateway reviews and major program milestones.
-
Provide validation status, risks, issues, and recommendations to technical and program leadership.

Mentor team members on validation methodologies, test execution, system integration, and troubleshooting practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful product launches and production readiness.
Preferred Experience

Experience with power electronics, power conversion systems, embedded systems, or industrial electrical equipment.

Experience with NPI / New Product Development validation.

Experience validating embedded software, firmware, controls, and communication networks.

Knowledge of CAN-based communication systems.

Experience with HIL testing, system integration, endurance testing, and field validation.

Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.

Experience working in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
