Top Must-Have Skills

1. Strong Java development experience
2. More on backend side
3. Spring Framework experience.
4. Web Services / Microservices experience must have.
5. Strong backend Java development background, including databases(SQL, Oracle, Mongo DB, postgres SQL)
6. Experience with AWS Cloud / cloud migration, preferably having participated in an actual application migration project.
7. IBM MQ / messaging experience, -Candidates with other messaging technologies can be submitted if they understand messaging architecture.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer / Technical Lead with strong experience in Java, Spring, Microservices, AWS cloud migration, databases, and enterprise application development. The candidate will lead technical design and development, work with architects/product owners/stakeholders, guide engineering teams, and help modernize applications for cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, testing, code review, and deployment of complex enterprise applications.
• Develop backend applications using Java, Spring/Spring Batch, Microservices, and IBM MQ.
• Lead and support AWS cloud migration initiatives and cloud-based application deployments.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable technical solutions and architecture.
• Identify technical risks, performance issues, and system gaps; develop mitigation strategies.
• Work closely with Architects, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Project Managers.
• Ensure DevSecOps, CI/CD, testing, code quality, and deployment standards are followed.
• Design and integrate complex/new and existing systems.
• Participate in architecture, product scoping, roadmap, and technology transformation discussions.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across development teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software design, development, testing, and requirements management experience.
• 12+ years of Java development experience.
• Strong experience with Spring, Spring Batch, Microservices, and backend development.
• 3+ years of AWS cloud migration experience Required.
• Experience with IBM MQ.
• Strong database experience with SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and/or cloud databases.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, system integration, SDLC, Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with automated testing, TDD/BDD, and continuous integration/delivery.
• Strong technical leadership, communication, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
