The Role

• Design, implement, and manage complex firewall solutions utilizing Cisco ASA/Firepower, Juniper SRX, and Palo Alto technologies.
• Monitor firewall performance and security logs to proactively identify and mitigate potential threats.
• Develop, enforce, and audit network security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with stringent standards.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional IT, Security, and Network teams to ensure seamless integration of firewall solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and firewall-related issues promptly, ensuring detailed documentation within ticketing systems.
• Serve as a People Leader for personnel supporting the Firewall Task Area, ensuring task delivery, performance assessments, and continuous service improvement.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of directly relevant experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of firewall experience specifically within the DoD environment.
• Demonstrated experience planning, directing, and managing a Firewall Team in an organization of similar scale.
• Proven advanced experience in managing baseline configurations across numerous firewalls and evaluating rules for optimal security and efficiency.
• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• DoD 8570 IAT II or higher certification and a Juniper, Cisco, or Palo Alto certification prior to start.
