Refrigeration / Air Conditioning Service Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Refrigeration / Air Conditioning Service Engineer to join a growing, family-run building services business. This is a field-based role covering London and the South East, with the majority of work centred around East London. This position offers the opportunity to play a key part in the development of a newly expanding service division, with genuine long-term progression into a supervisory or team leader capacity. Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive breakdowns, servicing, and commissioning works
• Majority service-focused workload (~95%), with a small proportion of installation work
• Work across commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems (approximately 50/50 split)
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard
• Represent the company professionally across client sites
• Support the growth and structure of the service function as it develops Candidate Requirements
• Proven background in refrigeration and/or air conditioning service engineering
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Confident working independently across varied commercial environments
• Ability to manage workload and respond effectively to reactive demands
• Must be able to work across London and surrounding areas
• Ideally based in Essex, East London, or Kent (East London preferred)
• Short notice period preferred
• Must not be self-employed Package & Benefits
• £45,000 – £50,000 basic salary (dependent on experience)
