Job Title: Trading Services Specialist, Securities Lending Asset Management (SLAM)

Location: Newark, DE

Schedule: 100% in-office, Monday to Friday. Desk operates 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Shifts vary, including 8-5 and 10-7. Overtime may be required during training.

Duration: Contract - 9 months, opportunity for conversion to FTE

Pay Range: $25/hr (W2)

Job Description

We are seeking a Trading Services Specialist, Securities Lending Asset Management (SLAM) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in trade support, cash settlements, securities lending, and reconciliations and a proven ability to operate under deadlines, resolve breaks, and deliver accurate revenue processing.

Responsibilities:

• Review and match counterparties' deals and collateral postings at trading desk direction.


• Coordinate daily mark-to-market of investment assets in internal systems.


• Match and resolve cash breaks with counterparties and address related issues.


• Review and verify trade confirmations and release funds for cash reinvestment.


• Lead and identify innovation and process improvement opportunities.


• Execute special research and reconciliation projects to drive efficiencies.


• Calculate accruals and allocate investment earnings across investments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Intermediate proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.


• Ability to thrive in a team environment and work independently as needed.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills across business levels.


• Ability to prioritize and operate in a dynamic, deadline-oriented setting.


• Ability to articulate complex scenarios including lending terms and investigations.


• Strong numeracy and attention to detail for reconciliations and calculations.


• Fast learner with adaptability to change and a deadline-oriented mindset.


• Around 3 years of relevant experience. Degree preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Financial services experience with securities lending and custody products.


• Awareness of financial risks from operational errors and negligence.


• Familiarity with automation tools such as Alteryx, UI Path, Tableau, and VBA.


• Understanding of industry news, regulatory rules, and associated controls.


• Attention to controls and oversight.
