Senior Gen Developer

Required Skills

• Minimum of four years' experience in Gen development, specialising in Cuba or similar systems


• Proven ability to write, debug, and optimise COBOL code


• Experience developing SOAP services, RESTful APIs and Message Queues


• Strong skills in Win32 application development


• Demonstrated ability to lead and advise on software design and implementation


• Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities with the capacity to handle highly complex ICT issues

Nice to Have Skills

• Formal IT degree or specialised GEN training


• Experience with Cuba or equivalent systems


• Knowledge of enterprise service implementations and middleware solutions


• Background in system integration and legacy system modernisation

Preferred Education and Experience

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related field


• Over four years' direct experience in low-level and high-level software development, particularly within government or large enterprise environments

Other Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain Baseline security clearance


• Willingness to work in a hybrid environment, initially onsite for six weeks, then flexible WFH arrangements with minimum three days in the office
