The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely.
• Position and relocate containers within the intermodal yard using hostlers.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics tasks.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory.
• Previous experience with heavy equipment operation in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions, including lifting up to 50lbs.
• Strong commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
