Role Overview
We are seeking a Tier 1 Help Desk professional to join our team. This role is focused on providing initial technical support to end-users. The position requires an individual who can address and resolve basic technical issues in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. You will be the first point of contact for technical assistance.

Key Responsibilities
Equipment Migration & Deployment
- Disconnect, transport, install, and reconnect desktop-level IT equipment, including:
- PCs and workstations
- Monitors
- Printers
- Scanners
- Keyboards, mice, and other peripherals
- Follow established migration procedures and deployment schedules.
- Assist with equipment setup and validation in new locations.
- Ensure all devices are properly connected and functioning following deployment.
Inventory & Asset Tracking
- Track equipment and asset tags throughout the migration process.
- Assist with maintaining chain-of-custody requirements for relocated equipment.
- Support inventory audits and reconciliation efforts.
- Document equipment movement and deployment activities accurately.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Perform basic device functionality testing following installation.
- Identify and escalate technical issues to Lead Technicians or Project Management.
- Verify equipment is operational and ready for end-user use.
- Support quality assurance activities and signoff processes.
Documentation & Reporting
- Record deployment activities, equipment status, and testing results.
- Maintain accurate documentation for project tracking and compliance purposes.
- Provide information required for asset management and ServiceNow updates.
- Follow all project documentation standards and procedures.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Lead Technicians, Project Managers, and fellow technicians.
- Participate in onboarding, training, and daily project meetings.
- Adapt to changing project priorities and construction schedules.
- Support a positive team environment focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in desktop support, hardware deployment, PC refresh, or related IT support roles.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and peripheral devices.
- Experience setting up, moving, or troubleshooting desktop equipment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and documentation requirements.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting healthcare, enterprise, or large-scale deployment projects.
- Experience with inventory management or asset tracking processes.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or other ticketing/asset management systems.
- Experience with PC installations, device imaging, or workstation deployments.
- Must be able to work on-site at the client campus.
- Must be flexible with shift schedules, including potential afternoon or second-shift assignments.
- Ability to lift, transport, and install IT hardware.
- Ability to work throughout multiple hospital floors and active healthcare environments.
