DB2 DBA

Role : DB2 DBA

Location: Salt Lake City, UT (Onsite)

Client: Goldman Sachs

Must-Haves:

·        3–5 years of experience in Database Administration

·        Hands-on experience with Sybase ASE and/or DB2

·        Experience in supporting database/center migrations

·        Strong understanding of:

o   Database administration tasks

o   Troubleshooting and performance analysis

o   SQL and database architecture

o   Database upgrade and migration

·        Experience with job scheduling tools (Autosys, cron, bash scripting)

·        Ability to follow and execute runbooks in a production environment

·        Experience working in Linux environments (primarily Red Hat Enterprise Linux)

·        Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

·        Ability to work and effectively prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment that includes a global focus.

Nice-to-Haves:

·        Exposure to additional databases (Oracle, Postgres, MSSQL, MongoDB)

·        Experience with large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments

·        Strong learning mindset and adaptability

·        High level of ownership and results-driven attitude

Responsibilities / Job duties:

·        Provide production support for multiple database platforms (Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise, Sybase IQ, UDB DB2, Sybase Replication, UDB DB2, Postgres, Hadoop, MSSQL, Mongo DB, Oracle database) infrastructure globally.

·        Provide Support for:

o   Alert resolution, Provisioning activities & User Requests.

o   Database implementation, migrations, lifecycle upgrades, and capacity planning.

·        Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, application, and infrastructure teams

·        Flexible to work in weekend shifts.
