We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Engineer to join our team and support the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and data solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data engineering concepts, SQL, programming, and data processing technologies.

This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in data engineering while working with experienced teams on enterprise data initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into data platforms.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.
• Assist with data modeling, data integration, and data quality initiatives.
• Work with large datasets and ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and support production environments.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, developers, and business teams.
• Participate in Agile development processes and team meetings.

Required Skills

• 3 years of experience in Data Engineering or related field
• Strong knowledge of SQL
• Programming experience with Python
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes
• Basic knowledge of data warehousing concepts
• Experience working with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
• Understanding of data structures and data processing concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms:
• AWS
• Azure
• Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
• Knowledge of big data technologies:
• Spark
• Hadoop
• Databricks
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
• Familiarity with workflow tools such as Airflow
• Exposure to CI/CD and version control tools (Git)
