Role Description

The consultant will be responsible for the end-to-end design, configuration, testing, deployment, and support of the SAP Work Zone platform. The role includes configuring digital workplace experiences, integrating enterprise applications, implementing SSO and role-based access controls, and supporting business stakeholders through all project phases from design to go-live. The project includes Employee, Manager, Finance, and Procurement experiences along with security and integration workstreams.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead SAP Work Zone design workshops and blueprint sessions.
• Configure SAP Work Zone tenant, spaces, pages, branding, themes, and navigation.
• Design employee and manager self-service experiences.
• Configure enterprise launchpad, search capabilities, and notifications.
• Define and implement role-based access control (RBAC).
• Coordinate SSO integration with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD.
• Work with integration teams to onboard enterprise applications and URLs into Work Zone.
• Support SIT, UAT, defect resolution, production deployment.
• Prepare solution design documents, configuration workbooks, operational handover documents, and KT materials.
• Work closely with HR, Finance, Security, Infrastructure, and PMO teams.

Technical Expertise

• 8+ years of SAP consulting experience, including 3+ years of hands on SAP Work Zone implementation experience.
• Strong expertise in SAP Build Work Zone (Standard and Advanced Edition) architecture, configuration, and administration.
• Proven experience designing and configuring:

  • Workspaces
  • Business Content
  • Navigation Frameworks
  • Branding and Themes
  • Search and Notification Services
• Hands on experience with SAP BTP services including:
  • Launchpad Service
  • Destination Service
  • Connectivity Service
  • Cloud Foundry
  • Authorization and Trust Management
• Experience implementing SSO and identity management using:
  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS)
  • SAP Identity Provisioning Service (IPS)
  • SAML 2.0
  • OAuth/OpenID Connect
• Strong understanding of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), authorization concepts, and security compliance requirements.
• Experience integrating SAP Work Zone with:
  • SAP S/4HANA
  • SAP SuccessFactors
  • SAP Ariba
  • SAP Fieldglass
  • SAP Concur
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori Launchpad, SAPUI5, Fiori Elements, and SAP Build capabilities.
• Experience working with APIs, OData services, Integration Suite, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Proven experience supporting SIT, UAT, cutover, deployment, and production support activities.
• Strong documentation, stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience working within Agile and hybrid project delivery methodologies.

Essential

• SAP Work Zone, SAP BTP, SAP Fiori, or SAP SuccessFactors certifications preferred.
• Experience with SAP Build Apps and SAP Build Process Automation.
• Knowledge of SAP Integration Suite, Event Mesh, and Extension Suite.
• Experience with intranet modernization, employee experience platforms, and digital workplace transformation programs.
• Exposure to CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model), Node.js, or Java-based SAP BTP extensions.
• Understanding of enterprise security architectures and governance frameworks.
• Experience leading distributed teams and managing large-scale global implementations.
• Exposure to SAP Joule and AI-powered employee experience capabilities.
• Strong consulting and client-facing skills with the ability to engage business leaders, enterprise architects, and executive stakeholders.
