Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
System Architecture & Design:
• Design and implement scalable Oracle Utilities architecture and infrastructure.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and system specifications.
• Align architecture with enterprise integration strategies and data models.
System Implementation & Configuration:
• Configure Oracle Utilities applications and supporting technologies (e.g., WebLogic, SOA Suite, Oracle DB).
• Set up environments across development, test, and production.
• Ensure robust integration between Oracle Utilities and enterprise platforms via APIs, data pipelines, and SOA workflows.
Operations, Maintenance & Support:
• Monitor system performance and availability across all environments.
• Conduct root cause analysis and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Support patching, version upgrades, and production support windows.
Database & Middleware Management:
• Oversee database integrity, security, and performance optimization.
• Execute database queries and scripts to support projects and troubleshooting.
• Manage middleware configurations and SOA deployments.
Collaboration & Documentation:
• Work cross-functionally with business analysts, developers, architects, and QA.
• Maintain technical documentation for systems, interfaces, configurations, and changes.
• Participate in technical design sessions, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Oracle certifications such as:
• Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing Implementation Specialist
• Oracle SOA Suite 12c Implementation Specialist
• Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional (OCP)
• Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) – Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or Middleware
• Oracle Advanced PL/SQL Developer Certified Professional
• Other related Oracle Utilities or infrastructure certifications
Experience:
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Utilities System Engineering or related roles.
• Experience implementing and supporting Oracle Utilities platforms (CCB, MWM, MDM, SGG, SOA Suite).
• Proven success in performance tuning, upgrades, patching, and system troubleshooting.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in PL/SQL, WebLogic, Oracle ADF, SOA Suite, and related utilities tools.
• Experience with API integrations, Smart Grid Gateway, and real-time data interfaces.
• Solid understanding of database administration, scripting, and automation tools.
• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is preferred.
Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Strong documentation practices and process discipline.
• Ability to work both independently and within agile technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in the utility or telecommunications industry.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance within utility environments.
• Exposure to cybersecurity, high-availability setups, and disaster recovery planning.
