About the Role:
As a pivotal member of our team, you will play a vital role in translating low-level designs into production-grade automation solutions. You'll work at the intersection of network engineering and automation, utilising your deep expertise in Cisco data centre networking while building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines. Your work will ensure stability, repeatability, and change assurance across customer environments.
What You'll Be Doing:
Build and maintain network automation solutions aligned with approved designs and governance.
Develop Infrastructure as Code workflows for Cisco data centre networks (NX OS/NDFC driven).
Implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines for network changes.
Integrate automation with platforms like NDFC, NetBox, ServiceNow, and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
Create reusable automation patterns and templates for network configuration.
Execute automation-driven configuration changes and support migration activities.
Collaborate with the Lead TDA to ensure all automation aligns with architecture and governance controls.
Support pre and post-change validation, ensuring automation outputs meet expectations.
Troubleshoot automation pipelines and network behaviours during delivery.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of automation tooling and processes.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Strong hands-on experience in Cisco data centre networking (NX OS, VXLAN EVPN).
Proven ability to build and support automation in production environments.
Comfortable working across networking and software tooling.
Experience in structured delivery environments with change control and governance.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
Essential Skills:
Cisco NX OS (VXLAN BGP EVPN, vPC, SNMPv3, TACACS+).
Python for production-quality automation and REST API integration.
GitHub/GitLab experience, including self-hosted runner configuration.
YAML and JSON data handling.
Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
Experience producing HLD/LLD documentation aligned to FCA/PRA standards.
Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with Batfish, VMware NSX, Docker containers, and automation testing frameworks.
