Content Strategist, Social Media & Content Creation (Remote)

Location: Remote (US-based) - Must work core hours: M-F, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM PSTTravel: Up to 25% (for live events and activations)Job Type: ContractCompensation Range: $45 - 50 per hourWe are seeking a versatile Content Strategist who brings an equal split of high-level strategic thinking and hands-on creative execution (50/50).In this role, you will act as a creative power-house-blending platform expertise, cultural awareness, and creative instinct to build strategies that drive engagement across consumer (B2C) and industry (B2B) audiences. You are as comfortable building a strategy deck as you are shooting, editing, and publishing short-form video content on the fly.If you live and breathe social culture, love brainstorming bold ideas, and know how to turn daily trends into high-performing content, this role is for you. Responsibilities:End-to-End Content Creation: Write campaign briefs, draft copy, concept ideas, and capture/edit short-form video (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) to post directly to feeds.Trend & Real-Time Activation: Spot emerging trends and execute content end-to-end within a single day across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.Campaign & Event Coverage: Travel to live activations and events (up to 25%) to capture real-time, high-impact content.Strategy & Optimization: Develop platform-specific storytelling aligned with business priorities; use social listening and performance data to refine content strategies.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal creative, brand, and marketing teams to execute integrated campaign launches and cultural activations.Qualifications:Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience, with a strict 50/50 balance between social media strategy and hands-on content creation.Speed & Trend Agility: Proven track record of identifying trends, writing briefs, and producing/publishing content all within 24 hours.Platform Expertise: Native fluency across core social platforms (Meta/Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).Technical Skills: Experience with short-form video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite), social management tools (Sprinklr or equivalent), and Jira.Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel 5%-25% for live events and on-site content capture.Soft Skills & Preferred QualificationsDeeply tapped into social media culture with a bold, proactive creative instinct.Strong cross-functional collaborator who communicates with clarity and confidence.Agency background and/or experience working with household-name brands is a plus.Portfolio/Campaign Samples: Candidates will be required to share samples of campaigns they have led and their measurable success during the interview process.JOBID: 76 Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.At Cella, a randstad digital company, we welcome people of all abilities and want to ensure that our hiring and interview process meets the needs of all applicants.
