Job Description:

The Controls Retrofit Engineer II is responsible for leading medium complexity retrofit engineering projects including control system design, control panel engineering, PLC, HMI, and robotics programming, and providing site start-up support of material-handling equipment and automation equipment for the material handling, manufacturing, and logistics industries.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Serves as subject matter expert on retrofit control systems and electrical engineering principles and provides advanced knowledge and guidance to colleagues as needed.

Provides control systems design technical leadership in a matrixed environment, ensuring on-time schedule, performance, project milestones, customer deliverables, and compliance with regulations and standards.

Applies electrical engineering principles to analyze, propose, design, program, test and troubleshoot control systems associated within complex material handling systems.

Reviews contract documentation and customer specifications and creates equipment specifications and detailed design documentation for the development of appropriate control solutions.

Supports realization team on project installation, commissioning and testing of control systems, traveling frequently as required.

Develops technical documentation including control system specifications and engineering procedures and assists with creation of user manuals.

Frequently interacts with customers and suppliers.

Perform other duties as assigned.
