X-Lab Software Engineer with Security Clearance

Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency, is seeking an X-Lab Software Engineer to join our client's team. We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a fast-paced engineering team supporting the development, integration, and testing of advanced software solutions within a complex defense environment. This role will contribute to the design and implementation of innovative technologies, user-facing applications, system integrations, and automation capabilities. A successful candidate should be able to: The ideal candidate will be a hands-on software developer with strong Java experience who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, collaborating across teams, and working in an agile, rapidly evolving environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop, test, and maintain software applications primarily using Java • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within large-scale distributed systems • Design, develop, integrate, and support new software capabilities • Participate in software testing, debugging, documentation, and implementation activities • Follow technical specifications to create or modify application functionality • Support system integration efforts and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams • Develop automation tools and scripts to improve system efficiency and deployment processes • Assist with benchmark testing, performance analysis, and software optimization • Document technical activities, project plans, and engineering solutions Required Qualifications: • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience • Active Secret Security Clearance • IAT Level II Certification • Strong Java development experience • Ability to work independently and within small collaborative teams • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Experience troubleshooting and supporting enterprise-level software applications Security Clearance Required: Secret Blackstone Talent Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of Blackstone Technology Group, a global IT services and software firm that implements technological solutions across commercial industry verticals and the US Federal Government. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience developing command-and-control or mission-critical applications • Experience with software integration and automated testing • Experience creating automated test scripts and CI/CD pipelines • Experience with message translation or middleware technologies • Experience designing and developing microservices architectures • Experience working with containers and containerized deployments • Experience configuring container environments • Understanding of systems engineering principles, software design, and system development lifecycles • Ability to create technical documentation, project plans, and summary reports Additional Information • Position is located full-time in Colorado Springs, CO • This is an on-site position and is not eligible for remote work EOE of Minorities/Females/Veterans/Disabilitie Pay Range: $75/hr-$78/hr
