Job Title: Software Engineering - Ab Initio


Location: Wilmington, DE


Duration: Contract with opportunity for hire


Pay Range: $55-65/hr (W2)

Job Description


As a Software Engineer - Java/Big Data/AWS you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team designing and delivering secure, stable, and scalable technology solutions in support of the firm's business objectives.


Job Responsibilities



  • Designs, develops, tests, and troubleshoots secure, high-quality enterprise applications.

  • Develops solutions across multiple technical areas, considering upstream/downstream dependencies and system architecture.

  • Works with large and diverse data sets to identify issues and drive improvements to applications and system architecture.

  • Supports application resiliency, operational stability, CI/CD, and security.

  • Contributes to Agile development practices and software engineering communities.


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills



  • Approximately 8-10 years of overall technology/software engineering experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs.

  • Hands-on experience with Ab Initio, ETL, or other enterprise Big Data technologies.

  • Experience with system design, application development, testing, debugging, and production support.

  • Experience working in a large corporate/enterprise environment.

  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.

  • Experience working with databases and large data sets.


Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills



  • Experience with AWS technologies such as EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, and Lambda.

  • Familiarity with React.js, Angular, or similar JavaScript frameworks.

  • Financial services or payments industry experience.
