Position Overview


Our healthcare client is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to support Finance Operations, FP&A, and enterprise analytics initiatives. This individual will partner with business stakeholders, analytics teams, and technical resources to design, develop, and maintain reporting and dashboard solutions that drive operational and financial decision-making.

The ideal candidate combines strong SQL and dashboard development expertise with hands-on experience working in healthcare environments. This role requires someone who can translate business requirements into scalable reporting solutions and deliver meaningful insights through data visualization and analytics.

Responsibilities



  • Design, develop, and support business intelligence reporting solutions and dashboards

  • Translate business requirements into technical reporting and visualization deliverables

  • Build and optimize SQL queries, reporting datasets, and data models

  • Develop executive and operational dashboards using Power BI and related reporting tools

  • Analyze healthcare operational and financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks

  • Support finance, operational, and revenue cycle reporting initiatives

  • Validate data accuracy and ensure consistency across reporting solutions

  • Troubleshoot reporting, dashboard, and data quality issues

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams

  • Support recurring operational reporting and ad hoc analytics requests


Required Qualifications



  • 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, Analytics, or Data Development

  • Healthcare industry experience required

  • Advanced SQL development experience

  • Experience building reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions using Power BI or similar BI platforms

  • Experience working with enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, and large datasets

  • Strong understanding of reporting architecture, data modeling, and dashboard development

  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience supporting healthcare finance, FP&A, operational analytics, or revenue cycle functions

  • Experience with healthcare billing, claims, reimbursement, or revenue cycle reporting

  • Experience with healthcare EMR reporting environments and associated data structures

  • Tableau experience

  • Experience developing executive dashboards and KPI reporting

  • Understanding of healthcare financial and operational performance metrics, including:

    • Revenue and expense analysis

    • Margin reporting

    • Payor mix

    • Patient mix

    • Service line performance

    • Budgeting and forecasting

Ideal Candidate


The ideal candidate is a technically strong BI professional with experience developing reporting and analytics solutions in a healthcare environment. They are comfortable working with complex datasets, building dashboards, writing advanced SQL, and transforming business questions into actionable insights. Experience supporting healthcare finance, operational reporting, revenue cycle analytics, or strategic decision-making initiatives is highly desirable.
