Job Description
At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
This role is based in either New York, San Francisco, Mountain View, or Chicago.
LinkedIn's Marketing Measurement team helps the business make better investment decisions by measuring the impact of marketing and translating those insights into planning, optimization, and growth strategies across LinkedIn's products and businesses.
This role supports LinkedIn Talent Solutions by leading two complementary measurement programs that tie into the business need for capturing the impact of marketing on new and existing customers. The role will require the management of vendor-supported and in-house model builds.
This role combines strategic leadership, hands-on model ownership, and cross-functional influence. You will own the strategic application of the vendor-supported MMM while building, operating, and evolving the in-house lifecycle model. Together, these programs provide a comprehensive view of how marketing drives both customer acquisition and long-term customer value.
Responsibilities:
Customer Lifecycle Modeling
Own the end-to-end development, operation, and continuous improvement of an internally developed customer lifecycle time series model.
Measure how lifecycle marketing influences customer retention, expansion, and long-term value.
Manage data sourcing, preparation, and quality with engineering and analytics partners.
Develop executive-ready recommendations, decision memos, presentations, and business readouts from model outputs.
Partner with analytics teams to develop reporting and visualizations that enable stakeholders to interpret and act on model results.
Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM)
Own the strategic application of marketing mix model results across self-service and enterprise customer acquisition.
Serve as the primary business owner for the external modeling partner, managing priorities, deliverables, timelines, and model quality.
Translate model outputs into investment recommendations, ROI narratives, and planning guidance.
Define measurement requirements and prioritize future model enhancements.
Establish guardrails for how model outputs should and should not be used in business decisions.
Measurement Strategy & Integration
Integrate Marketing Mix Modeling, customer lifecycle measurement, incrementality testing, attribution, and other measurement approaches into a cohesive measurement strategy.
Reconcile differences across measurement approaches and communicate business implications.
Explain assumptions, confidence levels, and limitations in a practical, decision-oriented way.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Coordinate execution across Marketing, Finance, Data Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, and external modeling partners.
Lead planning and execution across both measurement programs.
Represent marketing measurement in planning discussions and executive forums.
Driving Adoption and Scale
Drive adoption of measurement insights across Marketing and Finance.
Influence planning, budgeting, and investment decisions through trusted measurement.
Connect acquisition and lifecycle insights into a single business narrative that informs executive decision-making.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS in Finance, Marketing, Data Science, Statistics, STEM, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience in marketing analytics, measurement, or strategy.
3+ years of hands-on experience applying Marketing Mix Modeling.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with marketing analytics platforms, scenario planning, or MMM software.
Experience using incrementality testing or other causal measurement approaches.
Experience with customer lifecycle, retention, or growth measurement.
