Quick Overview
Job Description
Senior Instructor, Mariner Academy – Technology & Analytics
Position Summary
The Technology & Analytics Manager serves a pivotal role in ensuring Mariner Academy’s advisors are empowered to harness AI, technology, and data to enhance—not replace—the advisor-client relationship. This position prepares our enterprise for the next decade of wealth management by serving as a dedicated bridge between the Innovation and IT teams and financial professionals.
You will stay at the forefront of the rapidly evolving technology landscape, partnering with IT and Innovation to monitor tools, updates, and protocols, then translating that knowledge into practical learning delivered during each certification track’s monthly cohort check-in. Unlike stand-alone trainings, this approach seamlessly embeds technology learning into existing program structures. Additionally, you will manage the Academy’s data, tracking, and analytics—coordinating attendance, course completion, and assessment scores, while flagging individuals who fall below required standards.
By collaborating closely with enterprise business units, Innovation, IT, and Compliance, you will ensure that all training aligns with current tools and requirements. You will also provide clear performance analytics to the Executive Director, delivering a single source of truth for the Academy’s impact and supporting both individualized advisor development and enterprise-wide accountability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Partner with internal IT, Innovation, and related teams to maintain expert-level knowledge of developments in AI and technology relevant to advisor practice.
Translate emerging developments into actionable, monthly learning segments delivered within cohort check-in meetings.
Design and deliver an evolving curriculum spanning AI in wealth management, advisor productivity, technology-enabled advice, digital client experiences, automation, and data-driven decision making.
Facilitate live demonstrations, respond to questions, and guide discussions during monthly cohort meetings to foster practical technology fluency.
Own and maintain data tracking and reporting for Mariner Academy, monitoring attendance, course completions, and assessment scores. Provide actionable reports to Academy leadership.
Track adoption and effective utilization of technology and tools at both the individual and cohort level, motivating best practices and surfacing success stories through transparent reporting.
Identify and flag advisors who do not meet utilization, competency, or performance benchmarks, enabling prompt, personalized development plans.
Clearly communicate analytics and reporting insights to Academy Executive Leadership and Program Managers.
Collaborate across business units and functions to ensure training materials meet current regulatory and operational standards.
Evaluate and recommend new technology and AI tools for potential integration into the advisor practice and Academy curriculum.
Develop and maintain reporting infrastructure connecting the learning management system with enterprise analytics platforms.
Champion a philosophy in which technology enhances the advisor’s role and client relationship.
