We are seeking a Spacecraft Quality Inspector to join our team and support the inspection and verification of high-value engineering products throughout the manufacturing and assembly process.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in quality inspection within a highly regulated engineering environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring products meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements before progressing through the production lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections of manufactured, assembled, and integrated components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using a range of inspection tools and equipment.
  • Review manufacturing documentation, inspection records, and quality reports.
  • Identify, record, and report non-conformances, supporting investigations and corrective actions where required.
  • Verify that processes and products comply with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support First Article Inspections (FAI) and incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, assembly, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation and inspection records.
  • Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all inspection activities are performed in accordance with quality management systems and health and safety procedures.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector within the aerospace, space, sector.
  • Experience performing dimensional and visual inspections on precision-engineered components and assemblies.
  • Familiarity with quality standards and quality management systems.
  • Experience identifying and managing non-conformances.
  • Strong attention to detail and methodical approach to inspection activities.
  • Ability to produce accurate documentation and inspection reports.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience within the space or satellite industry.
  • Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or equivalent quality standards.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, assembly, integration, or test environments.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement and quality assurance methodologies.
