Job Description

Project Manager – Industrial & Logistics | Permanent or Freelance Sheffield | Tier 2 Main Contractor | £22m New Build Industrial Scheme Buildforce Solutions are working with a well-established Industrial & Logistics contractor to recruit an experienced Project Manager for the delivery of a £22m new build industrial development in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity to join a contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality industrial and commercial projects, with the flexibility of either a permanent or freelance appointment.   • £22m new build industrial/logistics facility
  • Steel frame construction
  • Full external works and infrastructure
  • Long-term project commencing September 2026 The Role Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from start through to completion, ensuring programme, quality, health & safety and commercial objectives are achieved. Responsibilities will include:
  • Managing the day-to-day delivery of the project
  • Leading the site management and engineering teams
  • Coordinating subcontractors and the supply chain
  • Driving programme and ensuring key milestones are met
  • Chairing client and subcontractor meetings
  • Managing health & safety and quality standards
  • Working closely with the commercial and design teams
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project Requirements
  • Previous experience delivering industrial, logistics or large commercial projects
  • Proven track record as a Project Manager with a main contractor
  • Experience managing steel frame construction projects
  • Strong leadership, planning and communication skills
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications Salary / Rate Permanent
  • Up to £85,000 basic salary
  • Comprehensive benefits package

  • Up to £400 per day
