Boomi integration developer

5 plus years hands-on Boomi AtomSphere and integration development; Boomi Professional Developer or Architect certification preferred

Deep fluency with core components: processes, maps and map functions, XML, flat-file, JSON, and EDI profiles, connectors and operations, document and process properties, cross-reference tables

Process design patterns: sub-process reuse, try/catch and error routing, retry logic, batching, and low-latency vs. batch trade-offs

Environment and atom management: deployments, extensions, environment promotion, packaged components, and disciplined component reuse and foldering conventions

Groovy and JavaScript scripting within Boomi, able to write it but knows when not to (prefers native shapes and maps over script sprawl)

Production experience with X12 834 enrollment transactions specifically: effective dating, full-file vs. change-only files, dependent loops (2000/2100/2300), HD and DTP segment nuances, carrier companion-guide interpretation

Trading-partner setup in Boomi: partner profiles, ISA and GS envelope handling, acknowledgments (999, TA1)

Carrier onboarding lifecycle: companion guide, to mapping spec, to test file cycles, to carrier certification, to production cutover

Bonus: 820 premium remittance or other benefits-domain X12 transactions

Benefits administration or healthcare and insurance domain experience (FSA, HRA, COBRA, enrollment concepts), strongly preferred

Core-system integration patterns: database-backed feeds (SQL Server), delta detection, employee and member identity-matching and keying logic

HRIS and payroll platform integrations (PrismHR or comparable such as Workday, UKG, ADP); understands the many-clients, one-template model vs. bespoke builds

SFTP and PGP file exchange, file naming and archival conventions, vendor point-to-point delivery patterns

HIPAA and PHI handling awareness, regulated-environment experience; knows what cannot go in logs, test data, or tickets

Testing rigor: builds test harnesses and verifies in TEST environments with synthetic data before production deploy

Version-control mindset: component versioning, branch-based development, documented change management on Bitbucket

Strong SQL Server skills, can write and tune the queries behind feeds, not just consume them

Clear written English and strong async communication (precise Jira updates, runbooks, handoff docs), with daily overlap with US business hours

Experience with AI-assisted Boomi development (for example Boomi Companion or agentic tooling), comfortable working alongside AI agents to build and maintain integrations

Boomi API Management, Event Streams, or Flow exposure

Experience migrating legacy point-to-point integrations onto shared templates and frameworks
