Job Overview

D&L is hiring a General Laborer to join our team in Apple Grove, WV!

This is a hands-on position supporting our commercial and industrial HVAC and construction operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, willing to work, comfortable working with their hands, and ready to learn.

No previous HVAC experience is required! We are looking for someone with a good work ethic who wants an opportunity to learn a skilled trade and grow with a long-term company.

What You'll Do

• Assist HVAC technicians, installers, and other crew members with daily jobsite tasks
• Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment
• Assist with installation, demolition, and general construction activities
• Help prepare jobsites and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Use basic hand tools and power tools as directed
• Assist with ductwork, equipment, piping, and other HVAC-related work
• Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced technicians
• Follow all company and jobsite safety procedures
• Wear required PPE and maintain a safe work environment
• Perform other general labor duties as needed

What We're Looking For

• Previous construction, mechanical, HVAC, or industrial experience is helpful but not required
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Dependable and punctual
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Comfortable performing physical labor and working on your feet
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment as needed
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors and in varying weather conditions
• Ability to work safely around tools, equipment, and active jobsites
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
