About the Role
We are looking for a Senior DB2 Database Administrator & Modernization Lead to drive our enterprise database systems into the future.
In this key role, you will balance core DB2 administration on AIX and Windows with hands-on technical leadership bridging the gap between legacy mainframe data structures and modern C#/.NET application architectures.
Key Responsibilities
  • DB2 Administration: Manage, tune, and back up mission-critical IBM DB2 databases across AIX and Windows operating systems.
  • Production Updates: Plan and execute seamless database deployments, schema updates, patches, and migrations with minimal disruption.
  • Automation & Scripting: Maintain and optimize KornShell (ksh) and Windows scripts for routine DBA tasks, ETL, and monitoring.
  • Legacy Modernization: Lead data modernization efforts, transitioning legacy/mainframe structures into modern architectures.
  • Engineering Leadership: Partner with C#/.NET software teams to optimize SQL queries, design database schemas, and establish engineering standards.
What We re Looking For
  • Core Expertise: Solid experience as an IBM DB2 DBA in enterprise production environments.
  • OS & Scripting: Hands-on proficiency with IBM AIX (Unix), Windows OS, and KornShell (ksh) scripting.
  • App Dev Awareness: Familiarity with C#/.NET environments and modernizing legacy or mainframe environments.
