Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Dual deep expertise required: this role demands both (1) deep Finance and Accounting domain knowledge across core disciplines—Financial Accounting, Consolidation, AP, AR, Banking & Cash, Assets, Projects, Procurement, Expenses, FP&A, and Reporting—including GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirements; and (2) deep, hands-on expertise in a leading ERP platform such as Workday Financials, including configuration, security, business processes, integrations, and reporting.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience spanning Finance / Financial Systems and ERP product ownership, with substantive time in both functions (not solely technical or solely functional).
  • Minimum 5 years of Workday Financials configuration experience, with expert-level configuration in at least one Workday Financials module (e.g., Financial Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, Projects, AP/AR, Adaptive Planning, or Reporting & Analytics).
  • Demonstrated experience leading a Workday Financials implementation (or comparable enterprise ERP) end-to-end—from design through deployment and stabilization.
  • Demonstrated experience owning a product backlog, roadmap, and end-to-end product lifecycle in an Agile or scaled Agile environment.

  • Proven experience defining and tracking KPIs and OKRs/Key Results for Finance processes, ERP platforms, or comparable enterprise systems.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team of Financial Systems analysts or product/configuration resources.
  • Advanced stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior and executive leadership.
  • Ability to visualize and effectively convey a "big picture" view of strategic ERP/Financials and how it fits with business strategies.
  • Strong consultative, presentation, analytical, and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Creative, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to exercise sound judgment, pivot between strategic and tactical work, and shift priorities to meet business needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and Agile tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Must be able to plan and organize work effectively to meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% globally.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Information Systems; CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification.
  • Active Workday Pro Certifications in Financials and/or specialty modules (Adaptive Planning, Prism Analytics, Workday Studio, Financial Accounting, Procurement, Projects).
  • Global finance experience a plus, including supporting multi-entity, multi-currency operations across US, UK, and EU and associated compliance requirements (e.g., GAAP, IFRS, SOX).
  • Prior experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, FP&A leader, or Finance Operations leader in addition to Financial Systems / product ownership tenure.

Go-live is 01-01-2027.
