Job Description

Title- Azure Cloud Solution Architect
Location: Remote working EST hours
Duration: Full Time Permanent Role
Job Description:
The client is seeking a Solution/Cloud Architect to support both the existing cloud environment and a major on-premises to Azure migration initiative. The architect will evaluate progress made to date, assess migration readiness, identify risks and optimization opportunities, and provide the technical leadership necessary to drive the project through completion.
The migration foundation has already been established, including:
  • Network infrastructure
  • ExpressRoute connectivity
  • Cloud posture and security baseline
  • This individual will not be starting from scratch but must have prior experience leading end-to-end cloud migrations to validate existing work, make architectural decisions, and guide the remaining phases of the migration.
  • The architect will work closely with two highly experienced cloud developers and serve as the technical leader for the initiative
Top Must-Haves:
  • Proven Cloud Architecture experience with strong solution design and technical leadership capabilities
  • Hands-on experience leading end-to-end on-premises to Azure cloud migrations
  • Ability to operate strategically while also being hands-on when needed
  • Experience evaluating existing cloud environments and migration roadmaps
  • Strong FinOps experience (approximately 5+ years)
  • Expertise with Azure cloud architecture, governance, security, networking, storage, and identity management
  • Infrastructure as Code experience, particularly Terraform and GitHub
  • Scripting/programming experience using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools
  • Strong understanding of networking, cloud security, and compliance frameworks
  • Experience working within healthcare organizations or highly regulated environments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead meetings, drive decisions, and influence stakeholders
Nice-to-Haves:
  • AWS cloud experience
  • SolarWinds monitoring experience
  • EPIC EHR experience
  • Experience supporting future application modernization initiatives
  • Familiarity with HMR applications
