Job Description
Responsibilities
- Perform technical planning, subsystem integration, verification and validation, risk analyses, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for major subsystems or components
- Apply intensive and diverse knowledge to resolve complex design issues that have a significant impact to the program or task area
- Perform analyses for one or more subsystems to include concept, design, fabrication, test, integration, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
- Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of subsystem and associated interface requirements into solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints; identify and quantify associated risks
- Perform subsystem architectural analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate subsystem requirements into hardware and/or software specifications and develop failure modes and effects testing requirements for critical software threads
- Provide a consistently high level of flight test engineering expertise and maintain proficiency in developing aircraft deficiency corrections
- Ensure all safety requirements are met during testing, when recommending improvements, or noting deficiencies
- Provide technical expertise in solving complex electrical and software engineering problems
- Perform independent review of problems and develop solutions to support efficient workflow and increased situational awareness for aircrew
- Evaluate Airworthiness and cyber-security of aircraft modifications using data analysis and extraction tools for independent verification and validation of embedded software systems and data interfaces
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline required
- Master's Degree preferred
- 12+ years of professional experience in the required task area
- Must be a US citizen
- Ability to obtain a security clearance will be required
- Active Secret clearance or higher required
- Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
- Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
- Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
- Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time

Salary: $140,000 - 142,000
This is not a guarantee of compensation, rather actual salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and applicable certifications or degrees held. Offered salary may fall outside of this range.
