Job description

Small Engine Mechanic

Location: Scott Depot

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Overtime Available

Pay Rate: Starting at $16.00 per hour, depending on experience

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on lawn mowers and weed eaters
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot equipment problems
  • Replace or repair damaged parts as needed
  • Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance
  • Inspect equipment to ensure proper operation
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • May perform other duties as required

Job Requirements:

  • Previous small engine mechanic experience preferred
  • Knowledge of lawn mower and weed eater maintenance and repairs
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical problems
  • Steel toe shoes required
  • Jeans or long pants required
  • Ability to lift and perform physical labor as needed
  • Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
