Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Define SLOs, performance budgets, and latency/throughput targets.
  • Develop capacity models and performance baselines across cloud environments.
  • Review architectures to identify performance bottlenecks and risks.
  • Implement distributed tracing using Dynatrace, AWS X-Ray, and similar tools.
  • Analyze heap/thread dumps, flame graphs, logs, network traces, and storage I/O.
  • Lead root-cause analysis of production and pre-production performance incidents.

Areas of Expertise

  • Application: Spring Boot, JVM tuning, thread/heap management, concurrency debugging, optimization.
  • Containers: PCF, Docker, resource limits, CPU throttling, memory pressure.
  • Orchestration: PCF, Kubernetes, ECS, autoscaling, pod health, scheduling.
  • Networking: TLS, DNS, routing, F5, Nginx, ALB/NLB, service mesh.
  • Storage: Latency, IOPS, distributed file systems.
  • Caching & Middleware: Redis, Hazelcast, NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, throughput tuning.
  • Databases: Connection pools, slow queries, indexing, replication lag.
  • Cloud: AWS compute, storage, networking, regional latency, cross-cloud traffic.
