Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Temp to Perm)

Job Type: Temp to Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established engineering company. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking to secure a long-term role with the potential to become permanent.

Working Hours

Choose from one of the following shifts:

• Monday Friday: 7:00am 3:00pm
  or
• Monday Friday: 8:00am 4:00pm

Salary

• £17.95 p/h

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on machinery and equipment.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Responding to breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
• Installing, maintaining, and improving production machinery.
• Working closely with production teams to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Completing maintenance records and ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is essential.
• A strong engineering background is required.
• Proven experience working within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive approach with a strong commitment to health and safety.
