Job Description

Vega is staffing a Web Content Admin for our direct Client located in Reston, VA. Candidates will be required to attend onsite meetings at least 2x a month local candidates highly preferred.

About the Role

Lead Web Content Administrator for our client's customer-facing web portal built on Liferay. The selected candidate will be the operational owner of the site, keeping it organized, easy to use, and aligned with business goals. This candidate will act as an individual contributor on a scrum team and serve as the liaison between the product, communications, and development teams.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the portal on a day-to-day basis
  • Decide where content should live on the site and keep navigation and taxonomy organized
  • Review the site from a user's perspective and recommend improvements to layout and usability
  • Archive outdated content and keep the site consistent and well governed
  • Manage and improve site search
  • Set up and maintain Google Analytics tracking to capture user behavior, and use that data to guide site decisions
  • Bring suggestions that need development work to the development team and coordinate with communications on content publishing
  • Take part in daily scrum meetings
Required Skills:
  • Strong CMS administration experience
  • Experience with site search, taxonomy, and user experience optimization
  • Hands-on Google Analytics or other web analytics experience, including setting up tracking
  • Liferay experience
  • Google Analytics 360
  • Content audit, content strategy, or information architecture background
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
  • Background in library science or content organization
