Cyber Security and Assurance Manager

Leads the ICT Security Team and is accountable for the governance, assurance, and continuous improvement of cyber security across the EOS Group. The role drives the implementation of security initiatives and ensures ICT Security Standards are maintained, monitored, and enforced through:

• Lead and oversee the cyber security function across EOS programs, projects, and operational environments.
• Ensure security architecture, system integration, and technology solutions align with Australian Government security requirements, industry standards, and EOS security policies.
• Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a secure ICT environment across multiple business units and locations.
• Lead the identification, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of security controls to protect company and customer information assets.
• Support compliance with applicable regulatory, contractual, privacy, and security obligations, including DISP, Essential Eight, ISM, and ISO 27001 requirements.
• Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of system security accreditation and certification activities for assigned projects and operational systems.
• Prepare for, coordinate, and participate in internal and external audits, security assessments, and engineering reviews.
• Provide expert advice and practical solutions to complex cyber security risks, challenges, and emerging threats.
• Lead security incident preparedness, response, reporting, and remediation activities.
• Develop, mentor, and supervise ICT Security personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of security controls, services, and compliance activities, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, and external partners to ensure security requirements are embedded throughout the system lifecycle.
• Contribute to strategic planning, cyber security roadmaps, and technology initiatives that support EOS business objectives.
• Operate in accordance with EOS policies, procedures, and governance frameworks while promoting a strong cyber security culture across the organisation.
