Job Summary :-
We are seeking a skilled Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) Engineer and Administrator with expertise in Linux system administration, RabbitMQ (RMQ) services, infrastructure management, and automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting PCF applications, leveraging monitoring tools like Wavefront, Splunk, or Datadog, and managing infrastructure components such as VMware vCenter. You will automate workflows using Concourse pipelines and scripting (Python, Shell) while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and application performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Management: Deploy, configure, and maintain Pivotal Cloud Foundry environments to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
PCF Application Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with PCF-hosted applications, including performance bottlenecks, runtime errors, and deployment failures, ensuring minimal downtime.
Linux Administration: Manage and troubleshoot Linux-based systems (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu) hosting PCF and related services, ensuring security and optimization.
RabbitMQ (RMQ) Services: Administer and optimize RabbitMQ messaging services, including setup, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Monitoring and Observability: Implement and manage monitoring solutions using tools like Wavefront, Splunk, Datadog, or similar to proactively identify and resolve system and application issues.
Infrastructure Management: Collaborate with infrastructure teams to manage VMware vCenter and related virtualization technologies supporting PCF deployments.
Automation: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Concourse for automated deployments and infrastructure management.
Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Shell, or other scripting languages to streamline operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams, to align on project goals, troubleshoot issues, and drive operational excellence.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, troubleshooting processes, automation workflows, and team collaboration protocols.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) engineering and administration.
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting PCF applications, including identifying and resolving application-level issues in a cloud-native environment.
- Strong Linux system administration skills (RHEL, Ubuntu, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ (RMQ) setup, configuration, and administration.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Wavefront, Splunk, Datadog, or similar.
- Familiarity with VMware vCenter and virtualization infrastructure.
- Proven experience with Concourse CI/CD pipelines for automation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Shell for automation and orchestration.
Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of PCF architecture, components (e.g., BOSH, Diego, Garden), and application deployment processes.
- Expertise in diagnosing and resolving PCF application issues, including log analysis and performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of RabbitMQ configuration and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with infrastructure components, including vCenter, ESXi, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with log aggregation, monitoring, and alerting tools (Wavefront, Splunk, Datadog, etc.).
- Proficiency in Concourse and scripting (Python, Bash) for automation.
- Knowledge of cloud-native concepts, microservices, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for application and system troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in PCF (e.g., PCF Administrator), Linux (e.g., RHCE), or related cloud technologies.
- Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) for hybrid or multi-cloud deployments.
- Knowledge of additional automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins.
- Familiarity with security best practices for cloud and messaging systems.
